Turning eighteen

Well, recently I turned eighteen and it felt amazing.
Elders actually allow you to make your decisions and don't lecture you all the time.
Turning eighteen is learning this and hoping without logic ,without reason and trying our best to hold on to the things we love!
P.S.- I know my writing is very unorganised. But, I guess it is my style to write as thoughts come to me. They may not have connection to each other. But I have tried here to send a message to all those who have turned eighteen and are confused.

But,I wondered what is the famous hype about this particular number against our ages?
It surely isn't that as soon as you physically turn 18, a magical boon starts its work and you suddenly grow into an adult! Talking about adults, what is an adult? What is the actual difference between a child, a teenager or an adult?

Here are somethings that I think are linked with turning eighteen.
Acceptance is a part of growing up. Accepting yourself, other people who matter to you, the situations, and everything. This acceptance gives us strength to do something in this world. Something that brings the best in you.Turning eighteen is accepting.
Questions and doubts about everything pop up in my mind.
Eighteen is when you learn that the answers come when they are supposed to, no matter how hard you search for them. Eighteen is accepting that the search is nothing but being aware of the question and holding the capacity to identify and understand the answer when it finally comes along. Freaking out and getting upset only drives the answer away.
No matter how crazy your thoughts and dreams are, you always have to believe.Someone very special to me told me to believe, to believe in us, him and myself. The will to believe comes when you turn eighteen, when you see that it is the only thing that keeps the world going.
One of the reasons my uncle gave for taking up an institute near home is that I would have to worry about other stuff and only focus on studies. But isn't that what we crave for? We want independence. We want to be on our own. We want to be an adult and take of ourselves.

So, now it seems that eighteen is just a hyped number against our ages. People turn eighteen much before and much after turning eighteen.
Can we completely grow up? If acceptance is growing up then, though we do grow up, don't all of us at some point or the other weaken? Don't want to accept? Just cry out? Get angry? Want something without logic or reason? Is growing up also temporary or can we say it is permanent with flashes of getting low? Do we define grown-ups as people who have lesser number of these breakdowns? Or this does not influence the definition at all and only the experience counts?
Is there struggle behind every worthwhile achievement?
Yes, there is.
I guess all my questions will always be unanswered and most of my theories will prove to be wrong, but that won't stop me in the never ending process of asking new questions or proposing new theories. Because, there are no false hopes. Hope is the purest of all emotions.
